Counselor Bio- Adam Awe
Hi Bootcampers, my name is Adam Awe and I am a soon to be junior at UW- Madison working towards a Biochemistry Degree with a Certificate in Global Health. Don’t let the picture deceive you, I actually really enjoy chemistry! This is just photographic evidence of a rough all-nighter my freshman year. During the academic semesters I devote most of my time to my courses and I work as an undergraduate researcher in the Department of Neuroscience and volunteer at UWHC. Outside of school I enjoy swimming, reading, coffee at all times of the day, and catching up with friends on the Memorial Union Terrace! I will be one of your many excellent Madbiology Bootcamp Counselors and I cannot wait to meet everyone and show you around this beautiful campus! On Wisconsin!
Counselor Bio- Kemi Olukoga
What’s up?! My name is Kemi Olukoga, and I am a sophomore here at UW-Madison (Whoop Whoop! One year down!). I am majoring in Life Science Communication, and Pre-Med with aspirations to go to medical school to become a pediatrician. I am a performer; I absolutely love the stage! Singing, dancing, acting, stepping, spoken words, poetry, public speaking, you name it! The stage gives me life! Another thing I love is eating, I love food and I’m sure you do too. I am honored to be one of your counselors this year in MadBiology, so please ask me any question you may have. Are you ready for this? It’s going to be fab!
Counselor Bio- Josh Choe
Hey Guys! My name is Josh Choe I am going to a junior in the fall and I am a double major in Kinesiology, and Biology. When I’m not studying to achieve my dream of being a doctor, you might find me working in one of two research labs. I work in the Vanderby and Heiderscheit labs, both in Orthopedics, looking at digit tip regeneration in mice, and the kinetics/kinematics of ACL rehab respectively. Additionally I am an avid runner, and am the President of the Wisconsin Track Club, so if you like to run/throw/jump hit me up! Looking forward to meet everybody and let me know if you have any questions! (Also if you ever get a chance go out on Mendota when it’s frozen, it’s a blast!)
Counselor Bio- Caroline Rozado
HEY!!!! My name is Caroline Rozado. I will be a sophomore this fall – I survived the first year – and hopefully I’ll finally declare myself as a Neurobiology and T.V Film and Radio major [ with a math minor] . Hopefully I can graduate and still have friends! Okay, now, if you must know, science is my passion; everything about it makes me excited, but it’s not the only thing I like to read/write/watch/do. I recently bought a new fancy schmancy camera to fulfill my photography desires…maybe we will do some photography stuff together! I watch all kinds of shows, anime included. I’m a pure animal lover; I grew up with a boxer named Lassie (R.I.P). Oh, and don’t let my concrete jungle background fool you, I am totally cool to get my hands dirty, you know, camping and what not. There is so much I am willing to try and have already tried. Oh, and btw – its my first year in MadBio too, so if you are feeling nervous, then we can feel nervous together! Anyways, I can’t wait to hear about what you guys like, hate, feel indifferent towards? Hope we have a unforgettable time with each other!
Counselor Bio- Nikki Rasmussen
What’s up bio nerds?! I’m Nikki and I love biology! I’m a sophomore here at the UW double majoring in Dietetics and Life Sciences Communications with a Certificate in Global Health. I’m a Boot Camp alum and I loved it so much that I decided to come back and be a counselor! I’m very involved on campus and I like staying active, from student orgs to RecSports. A few quick facts about me: I love the outdoors and being out on the water, my favorite color is blue, I’m definitely a dog person, and my favorite sport is football. I am SO EXCITED for camp and I hope you are, too! If you have any questions or need anything, or just want to chat, don’t hesitate to say hi! I love meeting new people! In the meantime, enjoy this picture of me getting ready for class… Just kidding, this is my Halloween costume :)
Counselor Bio- Oren Feldman-Schultz
My favorite things in the world are science and soccer. After my undergraduate, I plan to attend medical school to become a family medicine doctor working in impoverished Latino areas like Los Angeles or New York. My love for Spanish and soccer comes from my mother’s side of the family, who hails from Argentina. I’m so excited to work with everyone and I promise we are going to have a great beginning to the year!
Counselor Bio- Allison Hare
Hey everyone! I'm Allison, and I'll be a sophomore this coming year at UW. My majors are Biology and Psychology. Right now I'm thinking of going pre-med, so if you have any questions about that, feel free to hit me up. I currently work in several labs on campus which I got involved with in a variety of ways, so you should also definitely ask me about that in case you're looking to get a head start on research! I love running, photography, playing cello, and traveling, especially when I get to go to Guatemala and pose next to Ronald McDonald like in the picture here. Lastly but most importantly my favorite animal is the sloth, so if you like them too we already have one thing in common. I can't wait to meet you all. :)
